    Dirt Camp – Bromont

    Located at the base of Mont Bromont, Dirt Camp offers an unforgettable summer experience for young riders aged 6 to 15 of all skill levels. Each week combines skill development, trail riding, and summer fun — including time at Bromont’s famous water park. Riders learn essential mountain biking techniques like braking, cornering, and jumping, all in a supportive environment led by amazing coaches. The program focuses on building confidence, strength, and a lifelong love of the sport through progression, play, and teamwork.

    Dirt Camp – Weekly Day Camp Schedule

    “Please note that this schedule is a general outline of the camp week. Adjustments may be made based on weather, the group’s strengths and areas for improvement, and mountain conditions.”

    Location: dirtcamp.ca
    Ages: 6–15 years
    Minimum Bike Requirement: 20” wheels/hydraulic disc brakes
    (Dual suspension highly recommended)  

     

    Camp Hours:

    • Camp Day: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM

    Most groups go to the water park daily from 1:15 PM – 2:30 PM, weather permitting.
    The week builds progressively—Friday is Fast Chairlift Day, with lots of laps! Sleep well Thursday night!


    Monday – Assessments, Grouping & Bike Basics

    Focus: Getting to know the campers, grouping by skill, and starting foundational techniques.

    • 9:30 – Welcome Circle & Camp Orientation

    • 10:00 – Skill Assessments: Braking, Cornering, Body Position

    • 11:15 – Group Formation & Trail Ride

    • 12:30 – Lunch & Chill

    • 1:15 – Water Park

    • 2:45 – Intro Bike Games & Feature Ride

    • 3:30 – Daily Wrap-Up

    • 4:00 – Pick-Up


    Tuesday – Position, Braking & Cornering

    Focus: Building control and flow through strong body positioning and cornering techniques.

    • 9:30 – Warm-Up & Games

    • 10:00 – Skills: Ready/Neutral Position, Braking Under Control

    • 11:15 – Cornering Progressions (Flat & Bermed Turns)

    • 12:30 – Lunch

    • 1:15 – Water Park

    • 2:45 – Flow Trail Practice

    • 3:30 – Freeride Time

    • 4:00 – Pick-Up


    Wednesday – Jumps, Drops & Terrain Management

    Focus: Introducing jumping fundamentals and roll-downs, with progressive trail riding.

    • 9:30 – Dynamic Warm-Up 

    • 10:00 – Intro to Jumping: Body Position & Timing

    • 11:15 – Drops & Roll Downs on Controlled Features

    • 12:30 – Lunch

    • 1:15 – Water Park

    • 2:45 – Jump Lines or Skills Park

    • 3:30 – Trail Games or Camper’s trail choice

    • 4:00 – Pick-Up


    Thursday – Trail Challenges & Jump Progression

    Focus: Progressing skills on intermediate features, with more technical terrain.

    • 9:30 – Trail Ride Warm-Up

    • 10:00 – Jump Progressions & Cornering in Combination

    • 11:15 – Line Choice & Climbing Techniques

    • 12:30 – Lunch

    • 1:15 – Water Park

    • 2:45 – Group Ride or Skills Jam

    • 3:30 – Ride-Ride-Ride

    • 4:00 – Pick-Up


    Friday – Fast Chairlift Day! 🚠

    Focus: Big riding day! Campers apply the week’s learning on lift-access trails. Sleep well the night before!

    • 9:30 – Rider Warm-Up & Bike Check

    • 10:00 – First Chairlift Ride of the Day

    • 10:15 – Morning Race!!  

    • 12:30 – Lunch at Base

    • 1:15 – Afternoon Laps with Buddy System (11+ or based on ability)

    • 3:00 – Final Lap & Celebration

    • 3:30 – Wrap-Up Circle & High-Fives

    • 4:00 – Pick-Up
