Cancelation Policy

READ CAREFULLY

Injuries before camp

At Dirt Camp, we understand that unexpected situations can arise. However, in order to run a safe, high-quality program and to manage staff, logistics, and equipment effectively, we have established a clear cancellation policy based solely on the timing of the cancellation, not the reason behind it..

Key Principals

All cancellations are assessed based on how far in advance they are made, regardless of the reason (including injury, scheduling conflicts, or changes in interest). Injuries or other circumstances that occur prior to camp do not qualify for special exceptions or refunds. Families are responsible for their child’s conduct and activities outside of camp.

We understand that this may feel unfair in cases of "bad luck" — but that unfortunate luck belongs to the family, not the camp. Our program involves detailed planning with strict camper-to-staff ratios, booked equipment, and scheduled resources, which do not disappear because a camper can no longer attend.

Refund Structure

All cancelations are subject to a 75$ cancelation fee. More than 30 days before camp start date: Full refund, minus a $75 admin fee. 15 to 30 days before camp: 50% refund. Less than 15 days before camp: No refund.

Courtesy Camps

Dirt Camp is fundamentally trying to get kids on their bikes, even if it isn't always easy. That said, Dirt Camp will do it's best to move your child's camp in the same season or if needed, the following season.

Injuries during camp

Mountain biking is an exciting and challenging sport — and like any action sport, it comes with its share of risk. While we take every precaution to ensure camper safety, injuries can happen. When they do, we treat them seriously and with care.

That said, injuries sustained during camp do not qualify for a refund for missed days — ever. This is a firm policy, rooted in the nature of our programming and the resources already committed. We understand that this can be disappointing, and while we do not offer financial reimbursement, we do offer courtesy make-up days when possible: If a camper is unable to complete the week due to an injury, we will do our best to offer replacement days in another week, space permitting. If no alternate week is available, we may — in exceptional cases — extend a credit for a future season. These accommodations are made as a gesture of goodwill, not as an obligation. We thank families for recognizing that the costs and logistics of running camp remain fixed, regardless of a camper's attendance.
